Frank J. Morano, Esq.
Frank is Counsel (a/k/a senior level attorney) with Argentino Fiore Law & Advocacy, LLC. His practice areas include family law, school law, domestic violence, juvenile law, and victim advocacy. In addition to advocating in his law practice, Frank is a passionate advocate for the LGBTQ+ population in an activist and education realm as well.
Frank has a B.A. in Communications from Boston College and a J.D. from Seton Hall University. Frank is admitted to practice in New Jersey, New York, the District of New Jersey, and the United States Supreme Court.
Frank started his career by clerking for The Honorable N. Peter Conforti (Ret.) He then served as a Hudson County Assistant Prosecutor and a Deputy Attorney General for the Gangs and Organized Crime Unit of the Criminal Justice Division. Frank then practiced civil defense litigation with Purcell, Mulcahy, & Flanagan, LLC, before joining AFL. Frank’s litigation experience is chock-full of challenging and interesting cases. For example, one of the highlights of his time as a Deputy Attorney General is that he successfully prosecuted a double homicide case where the Defendant was found guilty of both murders and sentenced to two consecutive life sentences.
Since 2017, Frank has been engaged in private practice with a focus on Education Law, including HIB investigation, administrative ethics complaints, as well as personal injury and municipal court matters including DWI, assault, and marijuana possession cases.
Frank is Chair of the Somerset County Bar Foundation, Treasurer and Trustee to the New Jersey State Bar Association LGBTQ Rights section, Vice-Chair of the Somerset County LGBTQ+ Advisory Board, and a member of the LGBT Outreach panel at the State Theatre of New Jersey. He is also a volunteer attorney for the Trans Affirming Alliance, a non-profit whose mission is to support our transgender, gender non-conforming, and non-binary community. Frank is heavily involved in advocacy work and activism for the LGBTQ, Poly, and Kink Communities and is a Kink-aware professional. Frank pulls from all of his litigation background and advocacy work to supplement AFL’s Family Law, Domestic Violence, and Education Law practices and adds representation associated with Juvenile Law and victim advocacy work.
Even though Frank is a shark in the court room, this big bear actually has a wild fear of sharks! Regardless, he loves NJ shore life in the summers where he braves the ocean with his two awesome children. Frank’s office shows off his vast collection of movie posters…his green M&Ms preference and displays Star Wars memorabilia with pride.
