Senior Paralegal – Johanna Nachtergaele
Johanna (affectionately known as “Han”) has been a paralegal for 20 years having achieved her Paralegal Certificate from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 1997. She worked at Guston & Guston, LLP for 20 years until she transitioned to working with the Argentino Family Law & Child Advocacy team upon its opening. Johanna has spent two decades dedicated to helping people through family law matters, estate litigation, and real estate matters.
Johanna has resided in New Jersey with her family for over 30 years, but she is actually a native of Belgium, having been born and raised there. While her native language is Flemish/Dutch, she is, of course, fluent in English, and also has working knowledge of French and German. While the clients she works with find her compassion and courtesy to be a comfort in times of stress and grief, international clients particularly enjoy working with her due her diverse background and talents.
Johanna resides in Passaic County with her husband, with whom she loves to travel. She has two adult children and she is extremely proud of their hard work and accomplishments. Johanna is also the Captain of a women’s volleyball team that she plays with weekly and that keeps her warmed up and ready to go when the going gets tough.
Firm Administrator – Barbara Maglin
Barb joins the Argentino Family Law & Child Advocacy family with 20 years of experience in the law firm administrative industry, having attended the Fairleigh Dickinson University program for Paralegal Studies and having started her career as a paralegal. Barb moved on to law firm office administration 15 years ago and has found in it a hidden passion.
Barb is active in the legal field as a true participant in the community. She is a member of the NJ State Bar Association, and the NJ Association for Legal Administrators. Barb uses her love of golf to network within the legal community as well.
Born and raised in Sussex County, New Jersey, Barb continues to reside there with her husband and youngest son. Barb is the proud mom of two boys – one who’s all grown up and a younger one who keeps her running. Interestingly, Barb is also a life-long figure skater (and ice hockey player), a talent which helps her gracefully glide through all the administrative work the Argentino Family Law team throws at her!
